Yann Arthus-Bertrand's Earth from the Air Exhibit
In days like these you can’t move your pinky without bumping on a global warming message. Some messages are quite big to omit actually. They are printed on paper, framed with metal, installed on bridges and lit with powerful electric lamps. Such is Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s Earth from the Air Exhibition. It’s gracing downtown Sofia for more than a month.
If you check the related website you will discover some pretty neat ideas about helpful techniques for reducing your impact on climate change. Like sharing you car with people you don’t really know or simply remembering to turn the lights off after you leave your room. I wonder if the photographer read them or he’s just capitalizing on the latest craze. Because this exhibition is something like Live Earth – consuming more resources than a single person could use for months just to raise awareness of the importance of not consuming as much resources as a single person could use for months. Yes, controversy is all around.
Anyway, I really like his work. But I don’t need any messages attached.
